I need a word that means "evil" and "beautiful" at the same time

    I'm describing an evil woman's wickedly-attractive face.

    I've come across:

    devilish
    seductive
    seductively sharp

    AND THAT'S IT! I'm stumped.

I'd go with devilish, but the problem is, in the next chapter, I use the world angelic to describe a different female's face. It would seem cliche if two females in my book are polar opposites in their facial appearance. I could always change the second one and go with devilish ...

But there must be a word!

It doesn't have to be a single word. You can re-structure the sentence to contain two adjectives, and I'm pretty sure the writing Gods will not fire lightning at you.

    Hmmm, maybe:

    • lenocinant
    • sinistral

That's the best I could find.

Diamond, glittering or fey (which means strange beauty and thus potentially dangerous) might work. Jade is a word used for it, and Pandora was the "beautiful evil" as myth. Bawdy beauty sort of works but does not contain much menace.

Oooh, good looking evil? Nice. You don't see enough of that - in fantasy anyway, if Limyaael has anything to say about (she really does).

Are you going for ethereal goddess? Porcelain doll?

"Wickedly beautiful" is the best I can come up with. "Dangerous" maybe.

    Obscenely alluring,
    charnelly resplendent,
    alluring decadence,

I could not turn away from the obscenely raw sexuality brazenly reflected by the charnel hunger in her eyes. I could see her lust to devour my innocence barely held in check by the demure smile beckoning me closer. My body moved slowly towards her of its own volition, oblivious to the clamoring bells in my head. A random idea tugged at the edge of my conscious thoughts, "so this is how the fly feels as he strides into the parlour".

    Smile

Devilish doesn't necessarily mean beautiful, and seductive doesn't necessarily mean evil (or beautiful either actually, although it implies beauty i suppose). Just switch things around a bit and use more than one word, 'devilishly beautiful' sounds good to me. Honestly this doesn't really sound like a problem that warrants its own thread

In the past I have described something as Hauntingly beautiful.

or perhaps just Haunting.. as in, her Haunting eyes.

Thanks, everyone! I'm going to try devilishly beautiful for now. I'm not sold on it, but I think it works.
