Awfully quiet in here. . . I hope that means everyone is busy working on their short stories. I'd hate to submit mine only to end up winning the contest by default!

I currently have 9,359 words written, but still lots of holes to fill, fat to trim and wrinkles to iron out. Should be able to finish within the remaining eleven days.

Still working on my piece, hope to get it done. Want it to be good, so I'm constantly revising and rewriting..though perhaps I should try and get a full draft soon, if I'm to make the deadline

Well, I think I've screwed the pooch yet again. I've lost interest in the story I've been working on. There are still too many holes to fill, and I'm not as enthusiastic about what I do have written. I'll see what I can make happen in the next couple of days, but it's not looking like I'll have anything to submit this time around.

^^ ... are you sure about that? Didn't you say that you had 10k words done already. Even though it's an excerpt we'd love to see it.

Anyways I hope everybody else is finished or is just about done. All the stories have to be submitted in two days. And thank you Tamaroc for your early submission.
