Shehz - I ordered it a few days back, and am still waiting for the import to arrive.

Anyone actually want to give me a brief outline of the story???

Finished my last exam for the year on saturday morning, which left me a lot of time to read over the weekend (well that, go to the beach, and get drunk. but that's a different story). I finished off this book - it was pretty compulsive reading.
I'm wondering how Stover can follow on from here.

No, really, I'm going to talk about the end of the book
    ************************************************** ***************************

    ************************************************** ***************************
    Don't say I didn't warn you
    ************************************************** ***************************

Half the fun of the book was reading the action scenes with Caine beating up on someone.
The other half of the fun was reading about others beating up on someone.
So, with Caine crippled to some degree (I know he remains crippled, I read the back of the next book), and an administrator to boot, I'm wondering how we can get ultra cool Caine sequences in Overworld.
I'm sure it's just a matter of waiting.

And finally - can anyone explain to me what changed between midway through the book when Pallas Ril sang with the river and the end that the river decided to take a little more proactive role in things? I was very tired whilst reading it, so I may have missed something. My current guess is because Ma'elkoth was present, and it was the whole new vs old gods thing.

Anyway, Blade of Tyshalle will get a bit of a work out later this week.

I'm about 40 pages into Blade.
Acting College. You're a clever man Mr Stover.

And it leaves me wondering why Caine doesn't use flow blasts now. My guess:
The state of concentration he has to get into is dangerous as he's not focusing on tearing out his enemies throat.

Although, once again I'm prepared to be surprised. And there was that whole business about the flow acting weird around Caine at the end of HD. Hmmmm.......

There's always Amazon.com. Plus Heroes Die is going to get a reprint run.

Solaar - my advice: (whether you want it or not )

Get it using amazon.co.uk - now they don't HAVE it, but they will TELL you they do - and then get it in from the .com guys.........for SOME reason, this seems to work out better post in terms of postage times (sometimes), and price, for us englishers......I guess because the .co.uk people get cheaper overseas delivery, cos they are getting a bulk shipment? And we don't have to pay for currency conversion that way? Not sure - but anyway - that seems to be the thing to do!

You're welcome, R! Glad you liked!

Have to say.....am finding Iron Dawn much harder to get into than his other stuff....(worth bearing in mind that getting into his other stuff was no effort at all, of course!).....
