if i were to read just 1 zombie novel, which one?
so, if i were to read just one zombie novel, which one would you guys recommend.
now obviously people will have differing opinions so maybe also give a very slight plot summary.
ive never read any zombie novels and will probably only ever read the one so i want it to be damn good!

The only zombie novels I've read so far are from Brian Keene. There are 3 books in The Rising series. One is a book of short stories I haven't read. The first book, The Rising, doesn't have much closure at the end, so you need to read both novels to get the story. These aren't traditional 'movie zombies', they have a leader, they can think, use weapons to some extent, etc... Great writing, nice gritty feel.
Zombies are my favorite monster, looking forward to what others reply.

I have often thought the same. I'm not big into zombie type stuff. The one I've heard the most good about is World War Z. I believe this is being made into a movie as well. Being the most popular one doesn't make it the best one though.
