    What are you playing?

About time we had a thread like this. PC, console or whatever.

    On my PC:

    NHL 2000
    World Cup 2002
    Driver
    Doom (OpenGL)
    Virtual Pool 2
    Worms World Party
    Half-life: Blueshift

As you can tell, I'm stuck with an ancient rig, Cyrix and TNT 2, so I'm enjoying the classics. My PC runs pretty good though for what it is. I just go to a friend's house, cause he's got all the latest games. Now I've just got to convince him to replace his Geforce 4 MX. Finally get to play GTA 3 and Mafia tonight.

    Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
    Vice City
    Elite Force II
    True Combat (QIII Mod)
    SNES Roms

On the console front I'm trying to beat halo on legendary, and occassionally I'll play a little madden 2003.

Milamber, you should go back and play some of the older console classics via emulators.

I bought a disc with over 400 classic RPGs from nes snes megadrive and gamegear. I still love playing shining force 2, D&D:Eye of the beholder and loads of other megadrive RPGs via emulators! it's great.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga

In the wake of the ease with which newer, popular RPG's (FFX) are beaten, here is an RPG which reminds us this genre can be really freaking hard, and incredibly engaging at the same time. Lots of leveling, good ole fashioned leveling, lots of ridiculously crippling ailments. I love it. Can't wait to play the sequel, if I can finish this one by the time it comes out.

I'll be interested to see if you keep at it. I stopped playing after around 15 hours, though when the next holiday comes up I might give it another go.

Let me know what you think of it after you play it some more.

I'm pretty far into right now. I'm working on elemental mastery for Serph, I've gotten Last Meal and Bloodfeast for Heat, and I'm working on Death/Expel/Healing/Ailment mastery for Argilla. They are the only three characters I use. I'm currently at the Brutes Base having a really hard time trying to figure out how to handle the boss. I'm fairly sure I'm really close to the end. I've been playing off and on (Hurricane Katrina) since mid-August. Crazy hard game, and by no means perfectly balanced. But the story is intriguing, the characters compelling, and the battle system (press button) is sooooo awesome. I love that you get extra turns for exploiting an enemies weakness, I love devouring enemies to get AP, and I love it when enemies get afraid so I can just go Last Meal all over them.

    I'm soooo hungry... mmmmm...

For anyone that plays enemy territory, i'm a ref on the Pure Gamer server. It's a great server with a ton of regulars who know what they're doing, so you don't have to worry about newbies ruining everything. And if you are a newbie, everyone there is really nice about helping people out. The IP is 65.117.185.60:27960

    Come by and say hi

Wacraft, Warcraft, Warcraft, a little more Warcraft (if you can't tell, I really like the expansion)...oh, and a touch of Wolfenstein.

Enlighten me on this enemy territory deal. Until now, I haven't heard of it.

It was originally going to be an expansion, but the developers decided to release it as a completely free standalone; it weighs in at a little over 200 megs. It's pretty fun. Theres no singleplayer and it only has 6 maps by default but a level editor was released recently so more maps will be available sooner or later.

I've heard great things about KOTOR. Anyone played Mafia? It's pretty cool.

All I have to say about KotOR is, holy sh!t!
I've spent about 11 hours on it already and I just got it yesterday. It's not your most open-ended RPG, but that doesn't really matter when it is so cooooool. I recommend it to anyone who has an Xbox, or for that matter, if you want an excuse to go out and buy one.
