Well done Elspeth. It's good to see the word count rising and the energy. Bottle some and mail it to me.
I got another good review... HERE. If two people say it... it must be true!

Way to go Sheepie!!!
Oh the anthology I am in, Touched by Wonder by Meadowhawk Press, is being launched at Context 20 which is being held on September 28-30, 2007 at The Midwest Hotel & Conference Center in Columbus, OH. USA. Also a portion of proceeds of the book are being donated to Breast Cancer Research and Awareness, so I will be plugging it hard once it is published.Last edited by Holbrook; August 23rd, 2007 at 03:21 AM.

A little birdie told me a FS2 review was about to come out there too. Is that what you were looking for?

Good luck Sticktator, a prologue is a good start.
I've just had a story accepted in Flashshot.
http://www.gwthomas.org/flashshotindex.htm
It's not on the schedule yet, but will be by the end of the month. I'll let you know.
I guess that makes me a Flashshooter.
Also, I'm up to 47K on my WIP, and I didn't win the latest sffworld flash ficiton contest.

Awesome, Juzzza!!! That display looks great, especially since it relegated Harry Potter to just a footnote. I'm envious.
I finished my novel rewrite!!! YAY!!!!!!
I've been working on that thing for two years. TWO YEARS. I will NEVER do another rewrite again. Revision, yes. Editing, yes. Rewrite? No way in hell.
I'm so excited to get some feedback on it (I just submitted it to my critique group), and then I'll start querying agents. And wonder of wonders, I will finally start working on a new novel.

Looks very impressive Juzzza, A feather in your cap.
How is the editing going on the novel??
Abby; more courage than me, I won't even think of doing such a massive re-write. Fingers crossed for you.
As for me;
Short story Jac, in the final cut for a gotihc anthology.
A chunk of ~The Hat Man requested by a top NY agent.
A chunk of ~ Oracle requested by a small e.POD press, but one that has an award from P&E
I need to chase up anothor short story submission.
The first draft of Hand of Glory is now finished and it is out with a few willing beta readers just to get their impression on the work. I am starting to edit it. The first 50,000 words is not too bad. It goes a bit haywire after that as I was pushing on to get it done and did not do any back editing.
Though I doubt I will do much this week and next, busy two weeks re family stuff, getting everything sorted for youngest offspring is off to university...
