A few years ago I read a post-apocalyptic, dystopia book about two warring families and the peacemaker/ruler's son and his various trials. The story featured a crystal tower as the primary meeting place and a giant, killer pig who lived outside the walls of the city.

I've been looking for a few days but I can not find the title or author. Can anyone help me resolve my pig delusions?
