Thanks for that Robert; yes, it is annoying, but can happen. There's a process of change and updating going on, which can slow things down a little from time to time. Apologies.

I also think its worth mentioning EarthLinks SpywareBlocker free to members using TotalAccess software. While not nearly as good as AdAware or Spybot, it removed a lot of spyware and adware in my testing, and is very unobtrusive.

Its best feature is that it acts like a virus scanner, preventing spyware and adware from installing.

Frankly, thats what I use.

If any members need help removing malware feel free to pm me. The vast majority of infections can be removed without any significant damage to the operating system. I would be more than happy to explain exactly how viruses work and how to check your system for vulnerabilities. I can also tell you which malware removal applications actually work and which ones are basically junk. Also quite often many infections can be manually removed with just a basic understanding of the registry and file system.

Had three intrusion attempts blocked by anitvirus/firewall while navigating the site today.

All from MSIEfakeNV.

Only site I visit that I have had problems like this.
