The thing about Nori is that he's described as being involved in "dubious and probably illegal" activities. So his look strikes me as some kind of con-man who's all primped up trying to look his best but still comes across as kind of shady.

Fili and Kili
Continuing the slow reveal of the dwarves, we have Fili and Kili.
Sad to say, I'm pretty disappointed/unhappy with this image.
Fili is okay, but Kili? I don't mind a "hot" dwarf, but he looks WAY too much like a human or elf, and nothing like a dwarf. Where's the makeup?

Agreed! I am confused. He totally looks like a human. I don't think his being a young dwarf really explains this.

New Bilbo image
Here's a new image of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins!
Also, this weekend will bring the first HOBBIT trailer. I'll post it here as soon as it is available.

I wonder whether it will be a longish trailer (as trailers go) or one of those 15 second teasers?
Whichever it is, I want to see it!

I am as giddy as a school girl just thinking about it, especially since I will take my daughter. Insert ahhh here.

First HOBBIT Trailer!!!
Well, we've been waiting 10 years for it! And here it is, the first HOBBIT Trailer!
I've only watched it twice so far, but wow!!! The trailer is WAY more than I was expecting!

Agreed, EA, I was expecting very little in the way of footage.
Did the singing of the Dwarves make anyone else's hair stand on end? It was... wow. And the effects look good, as do the costumes and stuff, as does everything else. Oh, and there's Cate Blanchett in it, so I'm happy.
I'm really excited for it now.
