Analysis: The story presents a search for paradise, capital P, so it's Paradise. The uncle is already there but, due to the actions of his niece, a proper woman, is about to be disrupted from same. In this uncle's Paradise, sex is a good thing but the cannon ball indicates that this interpretation is fallacious and true paradise is something else again. What that might be is left to the restrictions of the individual imagination.
The ALA has voted this story the most likely to be challenged in 2010.

First, what is the ALA? EDIT: Do you mean the American Library Association? What do they have to do with it?

Second, I forgot the ketchup. Would it have been better if I had remembered the ketchup?

American Library Association who tracks which books are being banned. The banning is referred to as a challenge and the list of the 100 most challenged books is as an intriguing look into the wierd workings going on in the U.S.A. collective mind.

Ah! It was a joke! I'm so dense.

Pillars of the Earth is on that list? Whatever for?

What an HONOR that we have been challenged.

Of course, we haven't come up with a title yet...any ideas? How about:
Gerald, The Frog (a Pirate), and Why Naked Girls on a Beach Might Not Be a Good Thing

I could never convince myself that naked girls on a beach is not a good thing. Sorry!
How about: The Frog, the Key, and the End to All Male Fantasies?

Perfect! I'd read that book.

EDIT: ...and now that I have once and for all proved to you all that I shouldn't be writing, I'll go back to living under my rock again.
