The November Flash Fiction Contest
Welcome all to the November Flash Fiction Contest!
I'm honored to be running one of these for the first time. Thanks to all who voted for my entry last month.
We're once again in a month with a holiday, and it would seem remiss not to touch on it with this month's theme, but not with something as obvious as "giving" or "gratitude".
And so, this months' theme is ... HUNGER
The Rules:
1. Story length is two pages as the story site formats them (approx. 1,000 words).
2. All submissions must be in by 11:59 PM (EST) on the 19th of November.
3. Voting will take place from the 20th of November through midnight on the 30th. Hopefully that will leave enough voting time before and after Thanksgiving so those with holiday plans involving travel or company can participate.
4. I liked the way Sterling13 ran the voting last month, and am leaning towards repeating it.
5. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats on your victory, Rich. I enjoyed your story as well, though I did so without commentary (still new and slightly shy with my critique).
I may enter this one. In fact, I just finished a rough draft on a short story that I think plays well into this theme. Hmmm...
I'm excited to see this month's entries!

Seems like another fairly wide open to interpretation kind of theme - should provide lots of opportunity to go in any number of directions. There is a thought occuring to me already. Now if I can just hold on to it.

I cannot guarantee my presence for the rest of the month, so here is my entry, ''That New Century Shine'':

I know you may be aware of this, but maybe not, so I'd thought I should tell you - your entry is over the two page limit. If you are going to be out the rest of the month, you might want to edit it down to two pages before you leave. Just a thought. Haven't read it but will do so any moment now...

I've seen some 1,000 word stories hit three pages due to formatting, so the page thing isn't always a deal-breaker. But this one is 1,400 words, so it's over on both counts.

Uhm, there is a bit of adult content in this one.

Fer cripes sakes - my story is just in the percolating phase and your all posting. I obviously lack a work ethic. Cant wait to read em.
