Faerie Tale is on my list of books I am planning on reading soon. I was hoping to get some feedback or input on this book from Feist fans that have read it. So far I have very much enjoyed all Feist books iv read. However this book (faerie tale) is a stand alone story and i am very curious how Feist writes out side of Midkemia?
Think some of your answers will be given HERE Viking.
It's different. I'd like to see more outside Midkemia myself, and it may happen soon, but there's not a lot of other stuff around at the moment to see if that would be a wise move for Ray.

Faerie Tale didn't work for me. Classic case of great idea, disappointing execution. The novel never really figures out whether it wants to be a YA dark fantasy or an adult horror story. Subsequently it ends up being a rather uncomfortable mishmash of the two. For some reason I found Feist's writing a bit grating in this novel. I think it's partly due to the fact that he uses the word 'Ya' instead of 'Yeah' which for some reason really infuriates me...
It's not a bad novel and there are good bits, but I wouldn't recommend picking it up.
