Books by authors who are active on this website

I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in reading some of the books published by those of us here who are authors? It would give everyone the opportunity to engage the author in the dialogue, and to actually get some feedback. I don't know if all of us are really prepared for the criticism that might ensue, but it's something we all have to get used to at some time anyway.

I have three books in the same series coming out in September, published by Windstorm Creative. (They believe that shelf presence is important for fantasy authors, so they are releasing all three at the same time) Prepublication is June and the proofs will be available to reviewers and editors then. In a real sense, you are all very important reviewers!

I know that I am not alone here when it comes to publishing. There are many people who contribute to this website who are published authors of fantasy.

Are you suggesting seperate to the monthly books or as part of it?
I say feel free to nominate yourself for the monthly books (that's assuming you're not just published in the US) - because you have an active online prescence here I think you'd have a pretty good chance of getting selected.

Thanks for the optimism. The series will not be released to the street until September, so I guess I am a bit premature. But, it really would be great if it would be considered for then.
Since it will be distributed by Ingram and sold by Amazon and B & N, I assume it will be available everywhere. I also know that it will be easy to purchase directly from my publisher at a significant discount. They encourage direct sales.

I neglected to respond to your first question.

I was not suggesting a separate reading section for participating authors. But, if there are in fact many authors who are active on this website, it might be something to consider. It is hard to know who does what in their 'real' worlds.

If there is interest in such a list, I will start a new thread and try to put one together.

I think it is a good idea. And we even already read a book by one of our members: NOM's Dawnthief.

But I just would like to know: will your book be a mass market paperback?
Because that is a condition for nominating books . . . (well, price and availabilty is an important thing for me, since I have to import most of the books anyway.)

It will be a mass market paperback. I just received the proofs, so it won't be available until september to the public. The first three are coming out all at once, which is very exciting for me.

Are you including POD publications for the lists or only mainstream/traditional press?
