This is one of my favourite role-playing game ever. Final Fantasy VIII is a great game to play. I love the storyline, the characters, the battle system, the junctioning as well, and even the bosses. Omega Weapon is a real tough boss but everything goes well when holy war is used. I also like the love story between Squall and Rinoa...and not to forget the LIONHEART. This limit break special is the best I've ever seen in the final fantasy. It's even better than Cloud's Omnislash... I also love Squall and Rinoa's outfit, and also Squall's necklace, Griever.
Squaresoft did a great job on this game. I don't really understand the ending movie though... Did Squall die or what? And when the recording is played, only Irvine, Selphie, Quistis and Zell is there. Where's Rinoa an Squall?? I can say that this is the second best in the final fantasy. Final Fantasy 7 is the best one. But when it comes to romance, FF8 is the one.

FF8 was definately one of the greatest games ever made and in my opinion it's tied with FF7 for which Final Fantasy game is the best. The only thing that really gets me in 8 is the junction system. I know some people love it and have fun with it, but I find it to be a nuisance. They also say that it has incredible customization. Not really, you can choose who gets what spell, but I personally wish I have a little guidance in games when it comes to that. Anyway, I love the story and the FMV scenes so much....words can't describe. It has great music too. This is so close to being the perfect RPG. If I were forced to choose between 7 and 8 though, I'd have to say 7. The battle system is a big flaw in my opinion. Sorry FF8 fans.

Personally I really liked the junction system as well as the battle system

The graphics really were great for the time (especially the CGI's) and I loved the character developement and the interactions between all the characters
And as for the story... well out of 10 I give it 15 :) awesome addicting game and I agree it would make for an excelent movie.
