Scream
The 1996 horror film Scream, directed by Wes Craven, staring the ever so sexy Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette is just another classis horror film. The film is like any other horror film: you have the sexy teenage girl who always seems to scream whenever someone or something touches her. You have the killer who only strikes on nights when it storms outside and only kills the idiot who is home alone with the doors and windows open.
Scream is very good because this film has much strength to it. Some strengths of this film are that the music is superb. Like all good horror films, you know when the murder is going to strike because of that loud and repeating sound, kind of like the sounds in jaws. Also, great acting is one of the strengths in this film. Neve Campbell does a great job of playing the teenage girl because, heck, she is a teenage girl and sells the part very good.
Scream like many horror films has some weaknesses. The plot in scream is a weakness, because a predictable plot turns off many people. For example, you know that if a girl is alone in her big house on a stormy night there is going to be something bad happening to her. Well, in scream like every other horror film they used that as a part of their plot. Another weakness is that you have the same girl that screams whenever something touches her. This part of the movie is just annoying.
Scream is great because it is similar to the classic film, Night Of The Living Dead. One way that scream is like The Night of The Living dead is because they use to classic example of the girl being chased and them tripping over what seems to be nothing. Another example of how these films are similar is because they both have a man who acts as the protector of the girls. In scream at man was David Arquette.
If you like very good acting, superb sounds, and a great horror film, the I highly recommend that you see the 1996 Horror film scream. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat through out the whole movie and in the end you will be satisfied. This movie leaves no stone unturned. It has all the qualities that a great horror should have.
