Submitted by redshark (Jun 06, 2007) This is the best of the Star Trek movies by far! Action, adventure, comedy and drama! After the HUGE disappointment that was "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", I held my breath at the opening credits, praying for a truely good Star Trek movie. I was not disappointed! From the beginning, the story grabs you and takes you for a wild ride, the battle of wills and skills between Khan and Kirk. What the first movie lacked, ST: TWOK delivers. The most important factor of Star Trek was always the characters, who basically were given nothing to work with in the first movie. No humor, banter or pathos in the first flick, plenty in TWOK. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy were real again, not just 2d characters. And the special effects (for the time) were great! The battle of Kirk and Khan, Enterprise and Reliant will remain a SCi-Fi classic. I have seen all the Star Trek movies, and execept for "The Motion Picture", enjoyed them all. But, The Wrath of Khan is by far the best. I think I'll get my DVD and watch it right now. By the way, I saw the very first showing in my city, and at the end, the audience cheered and applauded.
