Submitted by Mandi (Apr 05, 2008)A great ride to take back into the 60's. No one could sing the Beatles songs as well as the Beatles, but they are redone well in this movie. It starts out a little slow and a little too much like a chick flick, but if you wait around a little, you'll be well rewarded. The scene accompanied by the song "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite" is definetly one of the best. It's trippy, without taking the necessities that you would normally need to do such a thing. The movie is 2 hours long and I'm still left wanting more. I love how some of the characters are named according to some of the Beatles song. There's Lucy, obviously named for "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and Jude, named for "Hey, Jude". It's like every little detail is tended to, you might not even notice if you don't pay close attention. This movie is full of rise and falls, a real emotional ride. Inevitably, you're left with a happy ending, the way a real feel good movie should leave you, with a happy heart. This a perfect taste of the past.
