This movie is great because it represents a version between Abel and Cain in modern times. It took place in Texas. This is the kind of movie that shows the nice human being's feelings but at the same time the dark side of everyone. The struggle of people when they are attached to external beliefs that sometimes are bad when you step into the fanatism. The movie begins with a guy who wants to know his real father, who is a pastor in an evangelistic church whose family is link to him in lots of ways. This guy fell in love with his half sister, and he is so in love with her that decides to kill his half sister's brother (He is his half brother as well);this is because he figured out they are seeing each other and went to look for him, he asked for leaving his sister alone,so he stabbed him and hid his body in a lake.In the very beginning his father is not so happy about knowing him,but almost at the end of the movie he decided to introduce him to the entire church, until that moment his fiancee(his half sister)knows the truth. He is her half brother but by this time both know that she's pregnant so she is kind of confused about it.At the end everybody in the family except his half sister thinks that the dead brother ran away and maybe he's angry and he would come back to the family some other time,he did not because he was killed. The modern Cain is taken to live to his father's house but his half sister could not stand the pressure of being pregnant, knowing that his other brother is dead, and the fact that her mother and father do not know the entire truth. At the end she decided to tell the truth to her mother and the modern Cain pushed by his inner demons decided also to kill his fiance and his father's wife while his father is in the church. Finally, the modern Cain emotionally devastated went to the church and asked for forgiveness from god while his father is speechless starin at him.Basically, this movie is a flow of emotions from the beginning to the end.I recommend this movie in a 100%.
