What an original film! Scary, romantic, and gruesome at the same time. An unexpected plot twist throws your mind for a loop, in the classic Shyamalan fashion that will not disappoint. Joaquin Phoenix is believable as the innocent, yet extremely brave Lucius, and Bryce Howard's performance is heart-felt and superb.

Iloved this movie! From start to finish it held me captive. The story line was not the tired same-old same-old. The ending, which I think may have made some people dislike the movie, was a total and utter surprise. It was very thought provoking...one of the reasons I liked it! And the fact that it didn't need gore to make you feel that edge speaks alot about the masterful way it was portrayed. Another fine movie from M. Night Shyamalan!
