White NoiseAfter architect Johnathan Rivers loses his wife in a an accident he's contacted by a man who claims his wife is sending him a message through Electronic Voice Phenomenon. As Johnathan gets more involved in the mysteries of EVP he discovers that there are more frightening things to this than just the communication.
EVP is a real world phenomena that many people believe in, something the bonus material also touches upon. However the take the movie does on the whole thing is a bit more extreme I'd say. The DVD which is being released May 17th includes deleted scenes as well as several small features where we get to meet real life EVP experts.
Michael Keaton plays the lead role of Johnathan Rivers, something he does quite well. The other main cast members includes Chandra West, Deborah Kara Unger and Ian McNeice.
This has to be the scariest or maybe I should say creepiest movie I've seen in quite some time. Good thing I'm not easily scared, but if you plan to watch this movie I'd definitely recommend that you don't watch it alone. It literary has you on the edge of the seat almost throughout th entire movie just waiting for the next thing to happen...
So whether you're up for a scare or not I'd say this is a movie that's well worth the time either way.
