X-Men Evolution - Mystique's Revenge

I must say that before watching this I've never watched an X-Men cartoon before. I've read a few Marvel comics and seen the X-Men movies and that's it. Quite enjoyed the movies though I must add.

The DVD has five episodes from season two and as the title says, Mystique is back making trouble. The first thing I noticed was that most of the X-Men now were teenagers, only Beast, Storm and Wolverine were left as adults while the others including Jean Gray were teenagers.

It starts of with 3 stand alone episodes leading up to the two part finale.

Shadow Dance: Forge creates a device trying to expand Kurts teleport  range. Something goes wrong and shadowy beasts slips through from the  dimension Kurt teleports through.

Retreat: Beast takes some of the new recruits camping in the Redwood National Forest where he suddenly finds himself captured by hunters who think he's the legendary Bigfoot.

Hex Factor: Wanda joins the brotherhood as their secret weapon as they face the X-Men in the empty Bayville Mall.

Day of Reckoning (part 1 and 2): The X-Men and brotherhood join forces to save Wolverine  who has been captured by some mutant haters. Little do they know that Magneto and his team have other plans.

I must say that I was positively surprised by these cartoons, quite enjoyable and definitely left me wanting to watch more episodes. So if you're an X-Men fan you won't be disappointed by these.
