Fable: The Lost Chapters (2005-09-20)Lionhead Studios bring us yet more entertainment with the release of Fable: The Lost Chapters on the PC (the Xbox version scheduled for one month's time and will carry an attractive price tag of $19.99). The gameplay is also looking incredibly attractive, with the option to train your character in several fighting styles. It seems that Lionhead have sprinkled some of their magic from Black & White 2 onto this title; the weapons your character wields will have a direct effect on their physic and muscle growth. So, like with traditional RPGs, don't expect a sorcerer to be much use in hand-to-hand combat, as not only will their skills fail but so will their physical power. This approach, that is so true to realism, should have some stunning results, no doubt surpassing its predecessor.
The developers have really emphasised on the amount of choice players will have in this game, the previous paragraph being a prefect example. Though the next choice I'm talking about is that of alignment. Will you be a just character, killing only creatures whom have been deemed evil, or will you say "To hell with that, I'm gonna massacre them all!". The choice is yours, but expect to see rewards and consequences for your actions (even to the point at which your physical appearance will change as a reflection of your decisions). Do you prefer the idea of a golden halo or demonic horns?
The PC version is now available for $49.99 - Enjoy!
