Dragon Quest VIII coming to US!
After years and years of being a Japan-only series, Dragon Quest is finally coming to the US. Worldwide it's sold over 40 million copies since it first appeared - an astonishing number by any measure - and in Japan is more widely played than Final Fantasy. As well as the new audience, the game's graphics are now in full 3D as apposed to the cel-shading we all grew to recognize. It's been announced for November 22, the same day the Xbox 360 is to be released, and will come with a playable demo of Final Fantasy XII. If there's any gamers stuck between the two systems then this release and glimpse into the next FF could very well tilt the balance. To add yet more insult to injury, there will be new voice-overs, improved animations and a fully orchestrated soundtrack.
To briefly outline the story, you must save the kingdom from a mad jester - hey, I said it would be brief! This game is bound to be on the wish-list of all RPGers around the world.
Available on November 22 priced at $49.99
