Next-gen Ghost Recon delayed
(2005-10-13)In disappointing news for fans looking forward to the Xbox 360 launch, Ubisoft have announced that they are delaying the release of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. The release has slipped back to a provisional first quarter 2006 lauch, seemingly in Ferbruary. As one of the titles many fans were looking forward to the most and a hotly tipped prospect for the Christmas number 1 spot, it can only reflect poorly on Microsoft that potentially a killer piece of app is no longer on the launch list.
When you add this to the official reason for delay that 'the team requires more time to make full use of the Xbox 360's technology' then it becomes a little worrying as to the quality of the launch titles. Will all the launch titles just be improved Xbox titles? Have Microsoft rushed out the Xbox 360? Only time will tell. We all look forward to an improved Ghost Recon title but by the same token it is a disturbing announcement so close to the first next-gen machine's release.
