Voodoo Nights
(2005-10-13)Mindware Studios, makers of the upcoming Cold War, have announced they are currently working on a new title, Voodoo Nights.
A magic-influenced 'buddy game' according to Mindware, Mindware have emphasised that this will be a game based around teamwork as you play two cops pursuing a gang who use a mixture of brutal violence and voodoo magic. It goes without saying that the two cops are also conversant in the darker arts.
A Ghost Reconesque window-within-a-window system allows you to keep an eye on your partner as you freely alternate between characters. A point-and-click system allows you to direct the other character with basic commands such as 'move to there', 'cover me' and 'attack' which should be familiar to anyone who has played team games before.
Voodoo Nights is already looking pretty with slick, dark visuals that emphasise the voodoo element and the environments in which the story takes place. These environments are destructible with rag-doll physics, the seemingly prerequisite bullet time and a whole host of large explosions. Although it's early, Voodoo Nights could be one to look out for.
No release date has yet been announced for Voodoo Nights.
