Resident Evil: Deadly Silence (DS)
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence will be the first RE to hit the DS. Unlike previous REs, this one will have two game modes; Rebirth and Classic.
Rebirth will basically be the original Resident Evil game but packed new extras such as touch-screen features, up to date controls, new enemy locations and traps. Players who know the original well will notice the little changes, even being able to reload a weapon without going through the main menu is handy in comparison, though now it's taken for granted. In essence, the Rebirth mode offers a smoother replay of the original.
Classic, however, is a carbon copy of the original. Nothing has been changed since the original Playstation days, and for some of us that will be a trip down memory lane. The extra features that Rebirth incorporates won't be present, though the original opening and ending cutscenes will be there, as well as fully voiced dialogues.
Multiplayer-wise, versus and cooperative mode will be available, the prior allowing players to battle it out against oneanother and the latter giving them the chance to escape the mansion working as a team. Currently, the game doesn't support Nintendo Wi-Fi.
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence (DS) has been announced for Japanese release on January 19th priced at 5,040 yen ($44).
