Michael Marshall Smith to visit Derby, UK

Michael Marshall is a novelist and screenwriter. His first novel, Only Forward, won two major literary awards. His second, Spares, is currently under option at Paramount - after originally being optioned by Stephen Spielberg's DreamWorks SKG. His third, One Of Us, was optioned by Warner Brothers. He has more recently written best-selling thriller such as The Straw Men, The Lonely Dead and Blood of Angels. His next novel, The Intruders will be published in April.
Michael is currently engaged in the development of original television and movie projects, and six of his short stories are currently being adapted for television. He will be reading from his work and answering any of your questions.
Also reading on the night will be Hazard Warning, who are three local crime writers, Rod Duncan, Clare Littleford and Sally Spedding. Each will read one part of a three-part interlinked story to begin the event.
