J.K. Rowling Coming to the U.S.!

J.K. Rowling, author of the phenomenally popular Harry Potter series, is coming to the United States in 2007 for a short publicity tour for the seventh and final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It is the author's first time touring in the U.S. since her last visit way back in 1999. The author is making four tour stops in three cities. Three of the appearances will be solely for students. The fourth event will be open to 1000 fans who win tickets in a sweepstakes sponsored by Scholastic Books, Rowling's U.S. publisher.
Her current schedule is:
October 15th -- Kodak Theater, Los Angeles, California (students only)
October 18th -- Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisianna (students only)
October 19th -- Carnegie Hall, New York City (Manhattan,) New York (students only)
October 19th -- Carnegie Hall, New York City (Manhattan,) New York (sweepstakes event which follows the students only event)
