Games - X-Box 2 soon?

This year's round of gaming shows started in Las Vegas just recently with the International Consumer Electronics Show. However despite persistent rumours that Microsoft would use the show to reveal Xbox 2 to the world, there was no sign of their new next-gen console. The rumour mill has once again kicked into overdrive about where the exact location that the second box will be shown, is. The new favourite venue is the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco on 7 March. Although many think that releasing details of a new console so soon, relatively, after the last one is dangerously early it has to be pointed out that with Sony's diversification into the handheld market, Microsoft need something new to encourage their user base. Almost certainly there will be a few false starts to amp up the hype - the question remains will we see X-Box 2, PS3 and PSP in the same year. Either way its certainly a great start to the new year for gamers.
