Games - Sony go Sega retro
(2005-01-14) Fans of the little blue hedgehog who own a PS2 will be overwhelmed to hear that a deluxe package of all the 2D Sonic the Hedgehog games could be available in the UK and Europe as early as February and with a highly reasonable price tag of £20 or approx 25euros.
Entitled Sonic Mega Collection Plus and already available in America, the compilation package contains Sonic 1,2 +3 plus Sonic & Knuckles and all the Game Gear games. Added to this are the more bizarre cash-in titles that many may not even have heard of such as Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball, Sonic 3D Blast and Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.
Inevitably you will have to take the good with the bad, but with this small piece of retro gaming ambrosia perhaps there is hope that Sega will open up their massive back catalogue of classic games and put some quality compilations together.
