Black & White is back
(2005-01-18)After becoming the first ever games developer in history to be awarded the OBE (Order of the British Empire) by the Queen, you would have thought that Peter Molyneux would have been more than happy to rest on his laurels. Far from it.
Instead new screens have been revealed introducing gamers to the world known as Black & White 2. The brilliant or useless, depending on who you talk to, original has been revamped.
In the time between original and sequel a number of aggressive peasant uprisings have taken place. It is your job, along with your intelligent creature of choice, to roam across the 10 lands putting down the revolt. You can do it by debate or destruction, either asking the serfs to join your campaign or simply enslaving them, depending on just how bad a day you've had. From what little has been shown, Black & White 2 is visually stunning with a range of new abilities and a more open gaming environment. No release date announced as of yet.
