News of a competition from J C de la Torre:

Greetings, fellow Fantasy readers! I just wanted to give you a head's up on a contest I am running on April 30th.

As we move closer to the late summer release of the next installment in the Rise of the Ancients series  - Rise of the Ancients - Annuna, we want to re-launch the book that started it all - Ancient Rising. The goal is to get Ancient Rising into the hands of as many fantasy thriller readers as possible hopefully creating a demand for the new book.

While a novel described by SFFWorld as "breathless, moving at a breakneck speed that has you turning the page quicker as the end nears" and Baryon as "a well written, fast moving adventure that fits into the Clive Cussler/Dan Brown mode" shouldn't need a contest to entice you to buy on a certain day - we're going to do it anyway.

For one day only, on April 30th, 2009 – by purchasing Ancient Rising at Amazon.com, you will have the opportunity to win $300 and an autographed copy of RoTA-Annuna (when released). The book retails at $9.99 (plus s&h). Spend $9.99 and you have the chance to win $300 - who can’t use that in today’s economy?

Prizes for this contest include -

Grand Prize - $300 and an autographed copy of Rota-Annuna.

2nd Place - $100 and an autographed copy of Rota-Annuna.

3rd Place - $50 Amazon Gift card and an autographed copy of Rota-Annuna

Be sure to read the rules carefully and check out all the details on how to enter this amazing contest here - Link.

For my author friends, if you'd like to discuss a joint venture for this contest, allowing access the fans on your mailing list to this terrific event - please let me know - I'm sure we can come to an amicable arrangement!

Don't forget - April 30th is your chance not only to get a great fantasy thriller but win $300 bucks! Be sure to let friends and family members know, too!
