NEWS: Aldiss Award Nominees Announced.

The Aldiss Award is a new annual award to “acknowledge endeavours in literature and gaming, specifically around world building, in the science fiction & fantasy genre.” It has announced its inaugural list, on what would have been Brian W. Aldiss’s 100th birthday.

The list of nominees is as follows:

  • Kavithri, Aman J. Bedi (Gollancz)
  • Saints of Storm and Sorrow, Gabriella Buba (Titan)
  • The Dance of Shadows, Rogba Payne (Gollancz)
  • When Among Crows, Veronica Roth (Tor)
  • Dreadful, Caitlin Rozakis (Titan)
  • Shigidi and the Brass Head of Obalufon, Wole Talabi (DAW)

 

The award winner, who receives a commemorative bookend, will be announced on November 2, 2025 at the World Fantasy Convention in Brighton, UK. The panel of judges for the award includes Janet Forbes, David Green, and Allen Stroud (chair).
