I have this movie, but humour is a personal thing... haven't worked up enough interest to watch yet, as well as having Patterson issues (He didn't really act in The Batman, did he?Yeah I stopped after 30 minutes I think. Also don't go for Robert Patterson much as an actor.
The best Bond! I should re-watch again too. Here I have been watching the Connery James Bonds in 4K. Generally very good, there are moments when the imagery is stunning, but others where the film shows its limitations of the age and things are a little ropy.

Today I watched Mickey 17 on Max, and found it pretty disappointing. It tries to be science fiction humor, which is a hard target to hit. While some of the situational humor early in the movie was good, it began to fall down somewhere in the middle. It went too over the top. Which brings up another point, this movie is too long. It is about two hours and twenty minutes, and probably should have been less than two hours.
On the positive side, the special effects were pretty good. The lived-in look of the spaceships and equipment seemed realistic. The creepers were well done, and were a delightfully different life form, while still being adorable and scary at the same time. The movie ends well, in spite of a potentially negative false ending.
I agree with this whole heartedly. I thought Pattinson did a terrible job playing "book character" Mickey. He was too silly and weird. On the flip side, the rest of my family thought it was really good. None of them had read the book.
Watched The Amateur.
Not bad. Surprised to see the new Lois Lane in it - 2 movies out at the same time.
Is decidedly old-school, and increasingly implausible, but a good watch for me.
Rami Malik has a risk of becoming typecast in his acting of geeky, awkward, introverted characters, though.

Watched Black Sabbath the other week. Unsettling, isn't it? Can't beat a bit of Boris Karloff, though!I don't know if all that is true but it has to be one of the best directorial debuts ever. I highly recommend it to any horror fan who has not seen it. The other Bava film i would say watch is Black Sabbath. Both are great examples of 1960s Italian horror.
I actually like Black Sabbath better than Black Sunday. I was a kid when i saw it and The Drop of Water scared me as bad as any movie I ever saw. The Wurdulak was a good take on the vampire. The scene "Mama, I'm cold" was chilling.Watched Black Sabbath the other week. Unsettling, isn't it? Can't beat a bit of Boris Karloff, though!
