Thanks, Mark, This looks interesting. One of the things I used to look for in the book shop gazing at fantasy books was to see if the author had provided maps for his work.
I love maps I have a full set of the ordnance survey 1 mile to one-inch maps of the UK acquired over 50 years' worth of rambling vacations asserting my right to use the network of public footpaths to get me to my destination pub by opening time (with luck it will have a room or two for a traveler to spend the night even if they don't advertise it. if not they usually know someone in the village with a spare bed. back in. the 60s and 70s this was frequently the local parson who would provide a tour of his church and graveyard as well as local knowledge of local sites of interest. of course, given licensing laws back in the 6os and 70s I needed to depart in good time to make it to my lunchtime pub stop. ;-)
