Hello all!
I was wondering, can anyone point out to me the origin of the vampire models in the movie The Priest? From what mythology or culture did these models originate, or perhaps by what were the designers inspired by? Even the pointer in the right direction could help me.
If anyone could help solve this mystery, I would be grateful. <3

The movie is a loose adaptation of a Korean comic series that had warriors fighting fallen angels. Perhaps because that was a little too close to the movie Legion, which the director and Paul Bettany had earlier done, they changed it to vampires. While the look of the vampires seems a bit borrowed from the aliens of the Alien franchise, some of the inspirations for the special effects of them are talked about in this article:

It is also called Priest (Manhwa) by Hyung Min-woo. It was itself based partially on a computer game called Blood. The English translation of the series was done by Tokyopop and probably is still available in stores. I don't know much about the artwork. It's possible the fallen angels/demons in the series were inspirations for the vampires in the movie.
