Aware this is an older forum, but some of the fields under profile such as Skype, AIM, ICQ are dated and may benefit from being replaced by stuff such as goodreads/ storygraph profiles.
 
Good call! I think we all just get set our ways.

@Hobbit, is that something that can be done?
 
Something for @daigoro, I'm afraid. Would involve setting up Storygraph / Goodreads accounts for SFFWorld. Not something I can do at the moment here - even 'Faceache' is an issue for me, sadly. But yes, for what it's worth, I agree.
 
@Hobbit and/or @daigoro, I was browsing the forum today and came across this. Any news on potentially updating profile options as @fluffy bunny suggested? I think Fluffy was looking at the "Identities" section of the Account Details part of members' profiles. I wonder what other "bits" might be added. Twitch? Discord? Instagram? Snapchat? Pintrest? Reddit? Threads? Would SFFWorld have to have a site account on all those platforms to allow our members to list their own info here on the forum? I have no idea how it works.

Good question. Thank you for the reminder. He is away at the moment (I think) but I have made @daigoro aware. Hopefully he will come back with some details soon. Expect an answer somewhere between " Yes - It's a doddle to sort!" and "No: it's impossible!"

Finally back and managed to find where the settings were buried . I've cleaned things up and added some of the new suggestions already. Happy to add more if there's enough demand!
 
I'm too much of Luddite, I guess. My total social media presence consists of this site, a bit of reddit and the Everquest 2 forums, lol.
 
@daigoro I tried to add my bluesky account, but it's not working. It gives me an error message that says "Bluesky: no_authority"

I also have a StoryGraph account to add, and that worked just fine.

Did you add it as the full URL or just your Bluesky handle? I made all the fields require a URL, so it worked for me when I entered it like this: https://bsky.app/profile/sffworld.com
