I agree. It really illustrates the variety of Kiernan's fiction and even, I think, some of her concerns as a story-teller. Randy M.
This book is coming out this year, from an Aussie author (yay), and it sounds really promising. And on topic, the cover rocks.
Too Nice, any way you could give us that image in a smaller size? It's quite a nice one, but some folks' computers won't be able to see it. Anything under 600 would be better.
I really like this cover. It's seemingly out of print in this style (and any other decent style), so I'll have to pick up a used copy of this one or a similar one (I've not yet seen this one!). 'tis awesome.
That's a nice one. Time for some dragon love: The Dragon Griaule by Lucius Shepard from Subtarranean: (Also the French cover version is neat with people rapelling down to the eye Tad Williams' short story collection, A Stark and Wormy Knight: And The Order of the Scales, Book 3 in Stephen Deas' series:
I like both of those Shepard ones, especially the French cover. Is the book itself any good? eta -- speaking of dragonish covers, I always liked the Vlad Taltos covers -- at least until the last two or three, when they changed artists for some inexplicable reason. Lemme see if I can find some good images -- This one is my favorite --
Some upcoming: Personally, I consider the Hurley to be more SF than Fantasy, but it has elements of both.
