HBO’s new sci-fi thriller, Westworld, premieres this Sunday night.
Westworld will air on Sunday, Oct. 2, during HBO’s 9 p.m time-slot in the U.S. and Canada.
The 10-episode series stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, and Evan Rachel Wood.
In the series, Westworld is a fully immersive amusement park designed by Dr. Robert Ford (Hopkins) to satisfy any human appetite. It’s a wild west society populated by artificial intelligence, in which guests live without rules, laws, or judgments. Visitors to Westworld are encouraged to indulge in their fantasies and desires, no matter how refined or heinous.

The show, which is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton film of the same name, was developed by Jonathon Nolan and Lisa Joy.
Nolan is best known for his work with his older brother Christopher Nolan, co-writing films such as The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, and Interstellar.
Joy, Nolan’s wife, is best known for her work on USA’s Burn Notice.
Nolan has directed two and co-written at least three episodes of Westworld.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens director, J.J. Abrams, is an executive producer.
The show will fill HBO’s coveted Sunday time-slot, the same time slot that Game of Thrones has during its season.
The music for the show is composed by Ramin Djawadi, who also scored Game of Thrones.
Viewers will also be able to stream the show online through the HBO GO or HBO NOW services.
