A new augmented reality game is out for iOS devices this fall.
Night Terrors: The Beginning is a survival horror available for iOS devices from the US App Store.
Players use their mobile devices to explore and survive the world around them, where different horror elements haunt the game screen.
The game is drawing comparisons from some to Pokémon GO for its use of augmented reality. Pokémon GO became one of the most downloaded apps in the world over the past summer when it released.
Yet whereas Pokémon GO encouraged users to go outside and explore the world, Night Terrors is designed as an indoor experience.

Only limited instructions are given for the game that has been three years in the making. Players are directed to play indoors, keep the lights off, and have headphones on.
Novum Analytics, the makers of the game, don’t give clear instructions on how to play, as “[p]art of the experience includes figuring out what to do.”
The game is continually being updated, with more features planned to be rolled out in the coming months.
