I'm watching Heroes at the moment (and grumbling at the writing for Matt Parkman, quite lame BTW) when I recall a movie or show where there's some guy who lives at a carnival or something who is able to power lightbulbs and other unplugged items, when along comes another dude who has some other ability -the first guy is afraid and says something about not doing it or something, when the camera pans out, screams are heard, and the lightbulbs flicker and go out... And Matt Parkman is SOOO stupid! (I have other shows that I can't remember, but I'll save those questions for later)

vague recollection

I saw a movie at the theater when I was about six or seven years old so that puts it about 1973ish (it's possible it was a re-release). The only scene I remember is a group of men wearing scarecrow costumes riding horses while carrying torches at night in an effort to intimidate a group of people (family/townspeople). It seems like it was set in the 1800's but I can't recall what makes me think that. It was obviously a family movie since I was there but I looked at a list of all Disney movies and nothing rang a bell to me. The reason I remember that one scene is because it scared the ever-loving crap out of me.

Any ideas?

That carnival/lightbulb scene is from Wolverine. Domonic Mongahan is the lightbulb guy and Liev Schriber (Sabertooth) comes to kill him.

I'm looking for an old claymation movie... I saw this movie when i was about 5 years old (I'm 18 now).. I can't exactly remember the plot line as I was so young, but i think it was about a boy who had to save his species (i dont think he was human). And because he was the only one able to, he had to go up to a mountain (i think) and defeat the villain which was a vulture (not sure, but there were evil vultures somewhere). On the way to the mountain he meets this girl that's the same species as him... It was pretty dark and strongly themed for a children's movie... and it disturbed as a child but i want to watch it again now.

That sounds a little like the Dark Crystal. It was not claymation, but Muppets.

It's a tv series where the human are taken over by alien that look like worms.
For One guy it doesn't work for so he and his wife start hunting the aliens. One scene I can remember is where they force something looks like enos down someone throught to get the worm out of that person.

Sounds like Dark Skies. That was a fantastic show cancelled in its prime.

Help!

I have never used this site so I am not sure where to post this! I am having a very difficult time trying to remember this movie from the 80's or 90's! All I can remember is it is kind of like crybaby..with johny depp or maybe even kind of like grease!I just know it had this teenage love with an oldies theme. I remember a tree house and a bunch of teenagers all singing we are the champions at the end. If anyone can help me remeber I would love it!

Need help remembering this movie!!!!

so... this movie was most likely a 90's movie that took place in the 60's from what i remember. its narrated by a younger girl.. the entire movie takes place in the summer. and its about this relationship between another older girl in her neighborhood and her boyfriend who is like a little badass. what goes down between the three of them is that the older girl isnt allowed to see this particular boy, and the younger girl knows about it. the younger girl promises to keep it a secret and in return the older girl kind of takes her under her wing throughout the course of that summer. i remember 2 specific scenes... one of them is where the younger girl is like rubbing breast enhancement cream on her with her other friends in the bathroom... maybe the older girl gave it to her? i dont freaking know. and the other is when the older girl takes the younger girl out at night as an alibi to go out with the guy and the two of them record something on a record... about everything that went on in the summer. and the younger girl kept it and her mother eventually found it and broke it..

Two old post apocalyptic sci fi films I need to identify

I am trying to remember the name of two 1960 or 1970 post apocalyptic sci fi films.
1. In the first a couple eventually escape from an underground facility where the population is controlled by tablets and a process of "renew" where after a certain age they float upwards into a dome and are extinguished. They emerge to a world ravaged by WW3 where cities are in ruins and overgrown and they join the population living in the ruins before going back to free the captive population underground who stumble out into fresh air and a new life.

2. This one may be even earlier where the survivors of planet earth are travelling for generations in a spaceship which they think is their world - they grow all their own food on board etc - and they forget who they are and their purpose. They have a religion where only one person can read the secret "holy book" which has instructions for what to do when they land. The chief protagonist has inherited this role. Eventually the spaceship lands and the computer tells everyone to get out, and so the human race continues....

If anyone can help me identify these films I´d be grateful to hear from them - would love to get them on DVD...

#1 is definitely Logan's Run.

I am not sure of #2, except for the ending it sounds a little like a Star Trek episode.

The emphasis of the story was the way the secret instructions had become a religion by the many generations of space travelling humans, and the only person allowed to read these instructions was regarded as being a spiritual leader. When the ship stopped travelling they noticed that the stars stood still for the first time in living memory and panicked thinking it was the "end times". Can anyone help?

Looking for comedy movie with bra removal scene

I am trying to remember a movie (probably 1980-90) in which there is a scene where a guy is getting lessons from another guy on how to remove a girl's bra. They are using a plastic doll and in one scene he gives it a squeeze and it slaps him. There are about 5 bras on the doll and each time a way of removing it is told there is a name of the steps. I think one was something like "snap and jerk" or "hook and jerk". I think I have ruled out Animal House, Up the Creek, Fast Times, Rock N Roll H.S. It's been bugging me for the last year or so. Nobody seems to know.

Geez, I want to say this was The Starlost, but it came along much later than you're saying you saw it. It was a series, but it had episodes edited together into TV movies.
