humans treaten like animals in scifi stories

in all those comics, audio stories, tv episodes, direct to video movies, etc were the Cybermen appears....do they ever treat humans also like animals or castles?

or capture them like animals, with sleeping darts and other similar methods?

speaking about it, any of you can also add examples of humans being capture alive in the way we capture wild and sometimes aggressive animals.

what's more, i think that in one of the novels of the galactic center by Gregory benford, there is this mantis robot mech were it seem it manage to domesticate some wild nomads humans.
is this truth? i have that novel but i still have not finished to read it and still reading The Killing Star.

oh yea, in the Killing Star novel the aliens capture the last 2 humans survivors of the planet earth and keep them in a zoo inside their space ship, but even if those aliens were responsible of the death of all humans they treat those 2 survivors with a good room service and food.

The Lost Regiment series by William Forstchen. Humans are treated like 'cattle'. Some really disturbing scenes. Rally Cry is the first book in this excellent series.

My 1st post! :D

My 1st post! :D

congratulation for your first post mister drcorday:D

i manage to found a pdf version of this book and yes i saw like some very few disturbing scene: a woman that was sort of sacrifice with her head being cut or hit by something and then her brain being eaten with golden spoons while she was conscious.
another scene were 2 humans were brought to a tent wen one of those alien leader was and he told his soldiers how to kill and prepare those 2 humans for his special meal.

however i just manage to find the first book that you mentioned, are the others book of the series also about the Tugars aliens eating and hunting more humans?
or the humans there fight instead with another kind of aliens?
does only the first book contain such disturbing scene? or the others books of the series also contain such scenes too?

thanks for recommend me those books.;)

in this tv series:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaurs_(TV_series)

there was an episode where a human child was treated like a animal and in a circus.

the episode was called "Charlene and Her Amazing Humans"

Feeling ignored by her family, Charlene becomes an instant celebrity after winning her school talent show with trained cavelings (humans) she found in the forest. Charlene gets an agent and is booked on a top variety show. Consumed by her new status and pushed by her agent, Charlene employs inhuman tactics to get her cavilings to perform dangerous tricks. On show night, Charlene realizes the error of her ways and, feeling guilty, she refuses to go on with the show and gives an impassioned speech about respect and family. Charlene's speech prompts Earl and Fran to realize their error in ignoring their daughter.

in the "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" tv series there was an episode were humans were capture by aliens and put them in a zoo:

"The Tale of the Closet Keepers" A deaf girl and the boy who mistreats her must escape from an alien zoo where Earth children from around the globe are the main exhibit.

first human are horses and now are dogs

just by accident(while looking for more info of the mount novel)i found this one that also goes well(literally speaking, like The Mount novel)with this scifi trope topic:

The Puppies of Terra novel also know as Mankind Under the Leash

and i think there is also a side story of this little universe called: White Fang Goes Dingo

by Thomas Disch(author)

in The Mount humans are literary "horses" to the aliens; here we are dogs or puppies. he he he.:p

after discovered this human animalistic like novel...i searched like crazy for any spoiler or info of this novel but nothing(unlike The Mount were there are some spoilers and reviews and even some examples of some pages)not even in Amazon. nobody review this novel in amazon or anywhere on the net.

has anybody here read this novel and tell me everything about it and how humans are treated here by those inorganic sentient aliens, please?

bye bye.

There is this:

The Silk and the Song by Charles Louis Fontenay
http://manybooks.net/titles/fontenaycother08Silk_and_the_Song.html#

slaves and riding animals

psik

oh man! another one were humans are "horses"? i thought that miss Carol Emshwiller was the FIRST and also FIRST woman of writing such rare but very curious novel.

now there are 2 of them, cool.:D:p

you know guys, i though i was the only person(and woman)on this planet that had this crazy idea of imagine animalistic humans hunted or capture by aliens or hostile sentient machines, but now i know that other writers had read my mind, he he he.:p

another case in Firefly tv series:

http://firefly.wikia.com/wiki/Reavers

those so called "humans" treat normal humans like animals/sex toys/food/clothes and do to them many horrible things that all those aliens and monster mentioned here so far had not done to their own humans.

and of course, those reavers creature do not have a justified excuse for all this either.

in the new movie Predators humans are kidnap and then trowed into the planter of those aliens that is a game preserve and those humans are hunted like animals.

since those aliens don't like to hunt inoffensive or weak humans they allow them to get all the weapons they can handle.

in the old predator movies 1 and 2 those aliens also hunted humans like animals but only armed humans.

they don't like to hunt weak very sick humans and they don't hunt children or pregnant women or unarmed women.

this trailer is from a new movie coming up this year.

I have the best example yet, Alien Apocalypse with Bruce Campbell and Renee O'Conner, astronauts land on Earth after cryosleep in orbit for 50 odd years. Insect aliens have come from the stars and enslaved mankind, setting us all to work in labor camp harvesting...wood. They eat wood, and have eaten all the trees on their planet, so they came for ours. And sometimes they chomp off a human head or two for a snack. But mostly the wood. Yeah.

thank you for the Bruce Cambell's funny b scifi movie info, i will try to find the dvd version.:)

just found more examples:

1-Primal Rage video game some dinosaur or king kon like giant apes have future plans(if you win the game ending with some of them)for humans were there will be treaten literary like animals:

Sauron - The God of Hunger and one of the Virtuous Beasts, Sauron's immortality came with the price of an insatiable appetite. All of Urth is the battlefield for Sauron, and he intends to turn humanity into his personal all-you-can-eat buffet when he's done conquering the other Beasts. He lives in the Cove, a set of ancient ruins near the sea.

Talon - The God of Survival and a Virtuous Beast, Talon is the chief of a raptor tribe and is highly protective of it. He fights to maintain their safety and intends to make the world a paradise for raptors where humans are kept as cattle and hunted for sport. He lives in a lightly forested tropical grassland called the Strip.

Vertigo - The Goddess of Insanity and one of the Destructive Beasts, Vertigo is a sorceress from another dimension who was banished to the Moon by Balsafas, until the meteor crash weakened the old shields enough for her to return. She lives in the Tomb (near Stonehenge), and intends to enslave and torture all of humanity for her own amusement.

2- Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds version i read on the net that in this version(unlike the novel)and also in its video game version aliens make blood farms were they take blood of humans very slowly:

http://www.focusgaming.co.uk/eveofthewar/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=920

3-Vandread anime series The humans are supplies of "spare parts" for the hyperadvanced Earthlings(they send machines to do the dirty job of harvesting those humans).

4-Twilight Zone"To Serve Man"

5-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_Cut

6-Blade Trinity movie the vampires had a future plan to treat humans literary like farms animals

7-http://everything2.com/title/In+The+Barn

Piers Anthony's In The Barn; i dont know if the farm worker of this place were humans are bum cows is a alien or sentient human.

very similar plot of the new movie day breakers witch also goes with this trope:

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=61186

10-vampires from RPG withe wolf universe also do this to humans in blood farms

ok those are the only examples i had found so far:p

it is me again....

hi there i just found more examples of for this scifi trope:

1-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingsmeat

2-also at the end of peter watts's blindsight, there seems to be a vampire uprising and since humans are the natural pray of those vamps and also those vamps are more smart and sentient than humans then i guess once the vamps manage to conquer the humans they would treat humans also like farm animals to harvest and feast on them.

http://www.rifters.com/real/in_progress.htm

3-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Deltora_Quest_characters#Granous

they eat like to eat human toes

4-in this family guy there is also an episode of such scifi trope:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_to_the_Multiverse

5-http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/d/ian-douglas/star-corps.htm

in here aliens manage to conquer a human colony and them enslave those humans as time passes....the alien manage by selective breeding to finaly created humans who are very passive more easy to manipulate and whiling to be slaves just like we did to dogs, sheeps, cows, etc.....

6-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sound_of_His_Horn

7-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draka

8-http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/m/gabriel-mesta/martian-war.htm
