What games are you playing?

I've been playing Doodle God on my iPod.

My word it's irritating. And addictive. Gah! :(

Has anyone played The Sims Medieval? What do you think? I'm thinking of getting it.

It's on my to get list (Collector's Edition, of course). If I get it this month, Nick, I'll let you know.

In terms of gaming, I'll list my progress:
Bulletstorm - Very near the end, but a bug/issue has made it impossible to progress. Will try again in the morning, but not expecting success.
Doodle God - I want to punch something.
Gray Matter - It's like audio bliss. Kinda pretty lookin', too, and it's very pleasant to play, but like most adventure games it can be a little obscure at times.

I just finished Bulletstorm. I thought it was good but not great. At least it was a decent campaign. Now I need to decide on either Crysis or Dragon Age 2. Not sure just yet but leaning to DA2

You won't regret it, loads of fun. And you can import your saved game from DAO so the story arch continues. (Because some characters from DAO make some appearances, depending on how things went in your game.)

I've given up on Bulletstorm. It's not playing fair (i.e. it's not working), so I can't be fudged with it.

I picked up The Sims Medieval yesterday. Currently installing it. We'll see how it goes, it looks like fun.

finished up Crysis2. i enjoyed it. It was a lot longer than I expected. I would put it at around 12 hours. Played a little bit of the multiplayer yesterday. It takes a little getting used to since most players are cloaked.

That is very good news. I am playing Dragon Age 2 and I like it but it seems a little bit more dumbed down than the first installment. I am entertained so I guess I can't complain too much. No real story line but it is building up. The map sucks as you are stuck in one area and the day/night thing is kind of a hassle but overall happy with it, so far.

The story definitely picks up at the end of Act One and then continues on for the rest of the game. There's some serious story, actually. I don't want to give anything away, but let's just say that a whole lot of things happen. The majority of the first act is just familiarizing yourself with the city and the local politics.

I had no problems with the map. Seemed pretty much the same as DA:O minus the day/night thing to me.

Dins Curse on the computer. Pretty cool game, but the town folk suck. They get attacked all the time, and I have to make my way back there to save their bacon. If I don't, they die and the god Din makes my game miserable. Cool weapons, cool monsters.

I am at the conclusion of Zelda:Twilight Princess. This has been a really fun game and has taken me about 90 some hours to complete with all the little sidetracking you can get onto.

A lot of the bosses I was able to figure out and dispatch without too much trauma. My first crack at Ganondorf ended in his serving me a heaping helping of ass kicking. But that was after way too much time chasing him around on that damn horse and waiting for Zelda to fill him full of light arrows. I will take another run at him soon.

I had it on the Gamecube when it came out (If you're gonna play something, play it properly, right? :p That and a Gamecube was £20, or the Wii was >£180 and out of stock - So GC was the option), and I enjoyed it. I generally don't play Japanese games, but I do have a slight soft spot for Zelda. Midna was cute :D

I've just finished my first playthrough of Fallout: New Vegas. I quite enjoyed it, though I'm reluctant to give it 8/10 or above as I did have a number of issues with it. That said, it was good and no better (Nor no worse) than Fallout 3, as what one did better, the other did worse and vice versa. I'll be getting Dead Money at some point, perhaps when the patch drops, and that'll be played through with a different character.

Midna was an interesting sidekick.

I am already looking forward to the next Zelda installment - Skyward Sword, I think it is titled which will be released later this year.

Stated playing Crysis 2 last night - very cool! The graphics are fantastic, and I love how you can cloak and/or strengthen your armour with the press of button.

Finding it a little difficult to pinpoint enemies from a distance before they see you; probably something that I'll get better at...

Sounds just like Crysis 1, then ;)

I've been playing The Sims Medieval: Collector's Edition (Thanks to Nickee for the swaying argument!) and so far I've quite enjoyed what I've played. It's not perfect, and could perhaps benefit from another coat of polish and tweaking (I've found the camera controls a bit tempermental, for example), but I do like it at this point in the game.

Oh, and my monarch is already married :D

Also got Portal 2 today, but I likely won't be playing it until I get my new card on Saturday, simply because I'm not confident in my current card's ability to run it.

Actually, scrap this. I tried it out today (It ran beautifully. The Source engine is absolutely amazing) to the point of completing the single player campaign. Absolutely, without a doubt, the single best Valve title to date.

That said, I did have problems with it. The puzzles were not as inventive, nor as fun, as they were in Portal. It seemed to me that even to the end it was based on repeating the same few 'pieces' as necessary. Whilst some of the puzzles really did require a good bit of thinking at times, it mostly felt rather 'obvious' to me. Some of the minor puzzles could have been tweaked, too - I died maybe 6-7 times on the same section because I literally missed the jump by about half a foot, and it seemed to me that shortening the gap a little would have made it all the better. Still a bit of a challenge, but not frustrating, if that makes sense.

It is great, though. Completely went above and beyond what I was expecting :)

Playing Halo2 with a group of 8 people at a mate's place tomorrow - all 8 of us hooked up in a LAN. Will be good fun!

For now, I appear to be back to Anno 1404, and I've spent a few hours on it this weekend. I'm slowly starting to get the hang of it, but I need to be much more efficient when building as my towns are all over the place. Had to rebuild a section of my nomad town to make way for a mosque so they could progress to the next 'level' :| Despite the immediate depth and complexity, I'm really enjoying it and it's getting my brain in gear, but I have a long way to go before I've even halfway mastered it.

I've not really touched The Sims Medieval this weekend. I like it, don't get me wrong, but I find it a little draining to play and it does feel a tad repetitive, which is worrying this early in the game. I made myself (Kinda) as a blacksmith, though, and named her after the protagonist of Black Blade Blues.

And, to top it off, I bought Patrician IV today. A bit like Anno 1404, I believe, but less fictional, more in-depth and possibly a bit harder. Anno 1404 has given me an itch that needs scratching, though.

Patrician 4 messed my computer up BAD! It crashed my computer just an hour into playing. Then everything went German language on me. Thank whatever for system restore. And a handy german/English dictionary!
