If she had truly become comfortable walking around in the blue so to speak I would see it as personal preference, unless of course the safety of the suit was jeopardized by not being fully zipped. Surely, you are not accusing the producers of exposing some skin for sex appeal. LOL. I didn't even notice to be honest.

Guys - Fully zipped up
Mystique - Zipped down.

And remember this is a younger, barely-out-of-her-teens Mystique who has nowhere near the same level of confidence as the adult one (nor the real one), not the same comfort with her sexuality.

Stupid and pointless is what it is.

Yes - but only the evening before she was naked in the kitchen with Professor X. Just saying. In general though tis stupid and pointless when that kind of thing is done.

But nudity isn't the same as emphasis on sexual characteristics. The sole reason that her jumpsuit would be undone would be to show off cleavage, there's no functional reason to do it (unless she was really warm, in which case, wouldn't she only have it undone to the bottom of her throat, and why did no-one else do the same?

I'm a Canadian - we don't like too argue too much, especially if the point is solidly made. I love me some consensus.

.... I think her suit was broken.

Well said!!!!!

X-Men First Class = Michael Fassbender (Magneto) was on his game, WOW!

I didnt notice any problems with Mystique (giggedy)

Oh, I could rip the movie version of Mystique apart. I just don't like her.

But James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender were pretty dang good.

In Time starring Justin Timberlake. I had low expectations going in. On the plus side JT surprised the Hell out of me as I thought he carried it quite well. However, at the end of the day the premise was very wonky and it turned into nothing more than a glorified chase movie. I have really come to hate chase movies where the hero keeps squeaking though one scenario after another only for the bad guys to come at him again and again. Leave it to The Fast and the Furious. I want more out of my Sci-Fi.

Took the wife to Beautiful Creatures for Valentine's Day, absolutely dreadful. Neither of us knew anything going into it other than based on a YA novel. Plot moved like molasses and boring. Wife wish she listened to me and went to Die Hard.

I had a sick day with the kids the other day and finally watched Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith with them. I had put it off due to the death of the Younglings and Jedi and Annikins multiple limb removal by Obi Wan. Time had done nothing to blunt my poor opinion of Hayden Christiansen's performance. His performance is just not very genuine -I should have felt more for the fall of Annikin. Who I did feel for was Obi Wan, every scene he did was awesome. When he screams at Annikin that he was his brother and he loved him, man that got to me. Nice work Ewan. And when the clones turned on their Jedi I got a lump in my throat, again. That sequence guts me. Hard to believe it has almost been 10 years since it came out.

Conan the Barbarian

No, not the new one. The 'classic' Arnie one. It's meandering, it makes absolutely bugger all sense, it's sold as a fight between Good & Evil when in fact Conan is not "good", it's over-acted, it goes on too long, it's full of bizarre events including orgies, disco ball boob armour and KISS impersonations, and... I don't know. It's certainly watchable in a really, really bizarre way. It's not even car-crash. You just want to see what stupid thing happens next.

Mind you, after Conan punches a camel, it kind of goes downhill.

I'm sure our resident filthy old man, JunkMonkey, has a few choice words about it, though.

Kill Em All

I watched this late one night after a few drinks as I was expecting it to suck like a Dyson, but it wasn't all that bad. I did find it mindlessly entertaining and some of the fight choreography was at least OK.
The premise of the film is a bunch of top assassins from all around the world locked in a single room and only one may leave alive, so kind of a Battle Royale meets Saw type scenario.

Cloud Atlas.

Not sure what to make of it as there was a lot going one. I really liked the futuristic Korean Blade Runner style segments and wanted to see more of that particular story arc, as it was like watching a live action manga film. I mean the old school "Akira" type good manga that has you mesmerized, not the 2 frames per second crap that passes for anime these days.

The scenes in Korea were my favorite as well. The book is so much more in depth, really hard to do in a few hours. I suggest reading the novel, it was one of my favorite reads last year. Especially if you want more of the Korea of the future.

The Raid: Redemption.

I'd never heard of this film until very recently someone mentioned that the new Dredd film ripped it off.
Apparently the similarities are purely coincidental as both films were made roughly the same time. The Raid being apparently rushed to be released first after their producers got wind of similarites with the Dredd script.

The Raid blows Dredd out of the water for me on all counts. It's a similar story but set and filmed in Jakarta, Indonesia about a bunch of rookie cops on an illegal raid on a high rise building, which is run and pratically owned by a local drug lord.
The action is brutal and relentless from start to finish with some top knotch fight choreography as the police quickly get out of their depth and have to battle tooth and nail to survive.
There was a far greater sense of danger and peril in this film, as in Dredd I think we all knew that both Dredd and Anderson were essentially indestructable.
The Raid had no such restrictions and the cops begin dropping like flies from the beginning.

What makes this film even more impressive (especially when compared with Dredd) was it didn't have the budget, the writers, the 35 years of source material or any of the resources that Dredd had at at it's disposal and it smacked Dredd out of the park. (IMO)

Django Unchained - I am an unabashed Quentin Tarantino fan and really enjoyed this one. I did not find it to be as amazing as Inglrious Bastards but a solid movie nonetheless. I believe the gentleman who just won the oscar last night stole the movie - his performance was mesmerizing. I could not take my eyes or ears off of him. Brilliant.

Dreamworks' The Road to El Dorado

Um... Yeah. Not quite as good as I was hoping it would be. With a shoehorned-in love interest and a not-quite-complete plot, which goes a bit weird towards the end, it just feels a bit eh. I mean I enjoyed parts, and the beginning was certainly well-done, but as the film went on I began to care less and less.

And less.

I've had that film for a while, but I've been meaning to watch the Franco Nero version first to refresh my memory before I see QT's "homage". (Does he do anything that isn't a homage?)
On that note I find it amusing that someone would make a homage of a film that basically copied an earlier film in the first place, i.e. Fistful of Dollars.

p.s. I am aware that Fistful of Dollars is essentially Akira Kurasawa's "Yojimbo" retold in a western.
