Need help remembering a Movie or TV show? Ask here.

Hi all,

I remember a strange TV show in the 80's that would have been on during the day. A boy befriends a weird brown creature that lives in a series of tunnels near his house. I think he was out playing and fell into a hole and met the creature in the first episode. I have been trying to find this show for years. I could just be crazy though. Anyone remember such a show?

Thanks,

Patrick
could be Stig of the dump?

Thanks Ochos but it is not Stig of the Dump, someone already asked about that strange piece of cinema. I came across this jem in my search, this is not my brown creature but it is worth knowing this exists.

Enjoy.

Sorry, when i'm at work I can't see images with our firewall
Hey no problem, I am glad people are trying to help me. This has bothered me for many years. I am beginning to think I imagined it. The memory is vivid in my mind though, has to be real. :)

Okay here it goes... There is a TV show or movie where there is a flying/floating, brown/dark coloured creature that grants wishes(?). My wife thinks I made it up but I'm sure it was a movie or show. Please help me either way

Sorry, for the duplicate post, but where and how to post in forums here is not intuitive to newbies. I hope I am posting correctly in the one that invites those looking for forgotten episodes.

Anyway.. I need help identifying an old science-fiction show, likely from the 60s. My first guess was that it was a Twilight Zone episode. But I have searched every show description as well as the other obvious similar shows of the 60s with no luck.

My memory is not very good, but I saw it as a kid, probably in the 60s early 70s. I remember the episode had a family tuning in a radio that was broadcasting shows from the future, specifically weird music. I remember finding that interesting and would like to find out what show I was watching and to find out how their predictions match with modern music.

Thanks for reading.

The movie is set in modern day Los Angeles much like Hollywood Homicide and vast other movies.
What I recall a woman and a man are searching for a missing person maybe it's the woman's daughter both will do whatever it takes to find the missing person. The man may be a detective. It's possible Hollywood is in the name of the movie with 1 other word.

This movie may have been released in the 90's or the last decade.

Those details are a little thin, but your description reminded me of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.

My only guess would have been Outer Limits, but you may have already looked into that.

8mm perhaps?

I remember watching a (possibly Hanna-Barbera) cartoon in the 80's in which the characters visit a place at the bottom of the sea where there is no water - instead, it has fresh air provided by volcanic activity and that air is somehow prevented from escaping to the surface (it reaches up to a sort of invisible 'ceiling'). At first I thought it was a Godzilla or Sealab 2020 episode, or perhaps Jonny Quest, but none of the episode descriptions seem to match that scenario. Unfortunately that's all I can remember.

Help Identify An Old Childrens Sci-Fi Movie From The UK

In the late 70's (perhaps very early 80's) I recall seeing a British movie (geared, I suppose to a younger audience) about a young school boy who happened upon a "magical orb" that had some mysterious powers (essentially it looked like a shiny steel ball-bearing that could sit in the palm of his hand). The boy "befriends" the strange, fascinating object and soon silliness ensues, with a few life-lessons thrown in for good measure.

Now, I seem to remember some misadventures with the orb that land the young boy in trouble with some crooks/local criminal element who then decide they must possess the orb for some reason or another (presumably to further their lawless endeavours).

The young boy tries to hide/protect the orb, and enlists some of his mates (one young girl in particular, if I recall correctly) In the end, the bad guys concoct a devious plan to capture the "ball", but it turns out that the "ball" is actually a benevolent alien life form investigating Earth and calls down it's fellow aliens (who were "waiting" in orbit? I dunno ... ) who then proceed to attack the bad-guys en masse, after which they escape back into space, leaving a tearful farewell for the young boy and his alien friend.

That's pretty much all I can remember ... but I really liked that little film, and it'd be nice to know what it was called, so that I might find it again one day.

Thanks in advance, and apologies on my terrible memory! :)

Well I have a vague memory of something similar. Have you tried Rod Serling's Night Gallery? I remember an episode where a woman gets into a car wreck and wakes up several years into the future apparently rescued by her own son, now grown up. He takes her into his house and they listen to weird music with his wife. Not quite the same but that's the memory I have.
