Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare--if you love steampunk this series is great. Apparently, they're also doing a movie in 2013 based on one of her earlier Mortal Instruments books.
The House of Hades by Rick Riordan--if you love Greek Mythology or Egyptian mythology you need to check out Riordan's books!
Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi--great dystopian series. For Hunger Games fans.
I know, I know they're all KID's books, but honestly, some of the best books I've read have been coming from the YA sections. My students have put some wonderful writers into my hands over the last several years. I've learned to trust my 8th graders.
