Anyone in here actually try their hand at writing science fiction?

I have written quite a bit over the years. I ghost wrote a history text, have written a few articles and a couple of other items.

Most recently I have been writing some science fiction stories. I haven't done anything with them yet, as they are an evolving series and I need to work on some of the later series to resolve some issues in the earlier stories.

To put it in understandable terms my stories are following somewhat the pattern of Larry Niven's Known Space in that they each can stand alone, but take place in the same universe/future as one another and also have an evolving storyline.

You may want to pose this question in the

sffworld.com > Authors and Writing > Writing, category threads..

many aspiring writers over there.

To answer your question, yes, there's one or two hanging around here, writers that is. Here in the writing forum. Crazy, I know.

Okay, that's mean. I know you posted in the Scifi section first. Still, in the future, if you're looking for writers on a forum, if they have a section labeled "Writing", you might want to start your search there.

If you ever want to see how your work holds up to the critical eye, you can always submit a piece to the Stories section and then make a thread here asking for a critique. You can get good feedback that way, although sometimes it's hard to get anyone who's available to go over your stuff.

I used to be really good about going over dang near ever new piece posted here, but I simply don't have the time anymore. Still, if you ever post something here, I'll see if I can't spare a little of my nonexistant time to say a word or two.

Yeah, I just did not look for what I did not expect to find. I just found this set of forums the other day, and really had not gotten past the scifi section. My fault for not noticing, but as I said - I just did not look for what I did not expect.

Well, I have good news for you. A lot of forums have writing sections, some more active than others, so you can interact with a number of communities to maximize your experience.

I myself had originally planned to operate in a good half dozen venues, but there aren't enough hours in the day, so I've settled in here.
