When I provided a link a few days ago to Archive.org to the February 1941 issue I just read the Heinlein short story, and did not glance at the rest of it.

but today I started at the cover.
this is a very interesting look at what was going on in science fiction publishing just before the war.
if any of the rest of you decide to read or even skim this issue from almost 79 years ago I would find your thoughts interesting. There is the middle part of the RAH short novel "Sixth Column"published under his Anson MacDonald pen name, Theodore Sturgeon has "Completely Automatic" , and L. Sprague de Camp has " The Best_Laid Scheme" to mention the highlights.

I think some of the writers here might find Campbel's asking for submissions on page 6 of particular interest as to what you could buy for a successful short story sale. RAH could have expected to buy a car with what he got for his three part Sixth Column

Anyway the price is right at zero and the photo copy of issue fine and it conveys something of the feeling of reading old yellowed newsprint so whoever is making these copies is doing a very good job of it.[/URL]
