That kind of themes are more easily found with Japanese manga and possibly light novels (from which quite a few manga are derived). The latter are however rarely translated in English.
I seem to recall that thyey did move in Japan about two teenage kids, boy and girl who both fall down the steps of a temple and when they reach the both they've swapped bodies. I say a clip of in on Siskel and Ebert .
