First Fantasy book you ever read/Introduction to Fantasy

As far as I can recall, my introduction was the first few Legend of Lone Wolf (Joe Dever) books, and then I really jumped on board with The Coldfire Trilogy (C.S. Friedman). The cover art for Black Sun Rising still gets me excited to read it. Who doesn't love Michael Whelan??

My intro to Fantasy had to be my Father reading "The Worlds Best Fairy Tales" to me when I was a child. I loved all those stories. "Jack the Giant Killer" being my favorite.

The 1st Fantasy book I remember reading probably was "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe". I was hooked. I had to find out what was happening in Narnia and get the rest of the books.

And, then STAR WARS came out. There was no turning back now.

30something years later I am still hooked with the genre
